What?
Tampere University, Kampusklubi and City of Tampere warmly welcome all Business Finland funded Research to Business teams, R2B alumni, early stage investors and business minded people to join our R2B CLUB afternoon.
Why?
R2B CLUB is the arena to learn about crucial steps on commercialization of innovations and to meet peers and like-minded people. The event is free of charge and open to all researchers, students, alumni and to everyone interested commercializing research results. Our theme for this R2B CLUB is regulations and restrictions in business.

START-UP BUSINESS IN A CHANGING REGULATORY LANDSCAPE - FROM A ROCKY ROAD TO SMOOTH SAILING
Laura Tirkkonen-Rajasalo is a Co-founder and Chief Compliance Officer at Sulapac. She is a biomaterial expert (Ph.D.) with core expertise in product safety, regulatory compliance and sustainability. She enables science-based communication on the environmental benefits of Sulapac products and follows closely the EU regulatory landscape. She is contributing actively to CEN standardisation groups and EU advocacy to support advancements on sustainable material alternatives and circular economy.

Heikki Pitkänen, CEO & Founder at Lean Entries
THE LACK OF REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE CAN BURY YOU: A REGTECH STARTUP SOLVED IT FOR HEALTH TECH AND NOW FOR AI AND DATA BUSINESS
The CEO & Founder of Lean Entries, Heikki Pitkänen, has worked in the health tech sector since 2001, including project and regulatory management roles in three startups and management roles in two Notified Bodies and accredited test labs for electromedicals, most recently at SGS.
He's been active in international standardization and has represented Finland in the Advisory Board for Healthcare Standards (ABHS) of CEN-CENELEC. He is an author of a Business Finland publication European Medical Device Regulations MDR & IVDR - A Guide to Market. Since 2021 Lean Entries has been part of Aurevia (ex Labquality).
